Opt-out of 7 major databases via email

First, copy the following email addresses and paste them into the "to" field in a new email.

optout@abacus-us.com optoutUS@acxiom.com support@ameridex.com remove@aristotle.com support@enformion.com customerservice@peopledata.com webmaster@switchboard.com

Tip: If you put these addresses in the "bcc" (rather than "to" or "cc") on your email, they can't see that you're sending the same information to other companies as well.

Next, copy and paste this email template into the body of your email. Then change all the information in the brackets to fit your situation.

For example, change [YOUR NAME] to your actual name. Now do the same for: [Address], [Past addresses], [Email], [Phone Number], and [Date of Birth]. When you are finished with that, look over your information and send the message out.

Good Day, In accordance with your published privacy policy, I would like you to remove all of my data from your website and all affiliated websites to whom you supply data. I know my rights under your privacy policy and understand that there may be a reasonable delay in removing my records. I want all entries for me removed from your database. My information is as follows: Name: [your name] Address: [your address] Past Address: [past addresses] (if you move a lot, you should go back 5 years) Email: [your email address] Phone Number: [your number] Date of Birth: [your DOB] If you need any other information please reach me at this address. I appreciate your compliance with your legal commitments. [your name]

One last step: Don't forget the header of the email. Use "Delete Me from Your Database" as your header.

CONGRATULATIONS! You've just deleted your information from many of the largest data providers! Now let's move on to the next step...

Some of these emails ask you to use postal mail to opt-out of their services now. I'm uncertain about the ones that don't or haven't responded yet.

Enformion asks to send a letter to this address -which I know has many aliases as seen in other opt-out info on this site.

apparently optout@abacus-us and com support@ameridex.com are no longer good addresses to sent request.
